《论语》由孔子弟子及再传弟子编写而成,至战国前期成书。主要记录孔子及其弟子的言行,较为集中地反映了孔子的思想,是儒家学派的经典著作之一。以语录体为主,叙事体为辅,集中体现了孔子的政治主张、伦理思想、道德观念及教育原则等;
孔子在《论语》中的故事:孔子生活的年代已有丰富的历史文化典籍。但由于年代久远,这些典籍在流传过程中破损散佚,残缺不全。孔子一方面出于教学的需要,一方面作为知识渊博的学者,他感到自己有责任将这些珍贵的遗产进行整理编撰,以便于系统的研究。它教育人们把握好学与行的关系,亦是做学问与做人的原则。博学不能散漫无状,在博学的基础上要“约之以礼”。要将博学来的知识,用一种文化精神、理论原则来统率规范。为此人们不仅需广泛地学习知识,还要把知识上升到精神的层面。
